About

Welcome to Scott’s Travel Adventures!

Travelling is one of my favourite things and this is a site dedicated to recording my adventures. Visit this site to travel along with me when I go somewhere. You can also look up posts, information and photos of where I have been in the past.

To be honest, I’m not the world’s most intrepid traveller. I don’t like ‘roughing it’ and my camping days are long gone: I very much like a comfortable journey. Having said that, I do prefer independent travel – I have little experience of package tours or group tours. I would much rather plan my own itinerary and make my own way without restriction.

When I travel I enjoy exploring a new environment. I love taking photographs, eating well and seeing how other people live. I also spend a lot of time in art galleries and museums. I’m not really a buyer of souvenirs or a big shopper when I am away: that would just makes my suitcase heavier, and trust me, it’s heavy enough! My souvenirs are my photographs, my travel posts and my memories.

I enjoy travelling with my partner Mark but I often travel alone as our schedules and travel preferences don’t always align. I have also travelled with friends, which has always been great fun.

I am quite an organised traveller. For me, half the fun of a trip is in the research and the planning. I love making itineraries and lists, poring over maps and guidebooks to make sure I see as much as I possibly can. Hopefully by looking on Scott’s Travel Adventures you might get some ideas for your own adventures in the destinations I have been to.

I live in the city of Liverpool in the UK, which is why there are quite a few posts about Liverpool here. I am originally from Australia, so Liverpool is both my home and a place I enjoy exploring.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you’ll come along (in the virtual sense) on my next travel adventure!
