I wish I could say I took this photo but I didn’t. Peter is a great photographer of Liverpool and it belongs to him. The skyline of Liverpool is in the background to the Olympic Torch relay as it came to Liverpool on Friday. The building with the clock-tower on the left is the famous Liver Building (pronounced like ‘diver’), then the smaller white building is the Cunard Building and then the third one with the dome is the Port of Liverpool building. The modern flat white building next to that is the brand new Museum of Liverpool. The collection of black buildings are the Mann Island development – we love it and considered buying an apartment there. This is followed by the brown brick building which is the Law Courts. The next building is the Park One development where our friend Brigitte has an apartment. On the far right is the Radio City tower. Not pictured but a little further to the right are Albert Dock and the Liverpool Cathedral – the world’s largest Anglican Cathedral. This entire Mersey River waterfront is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
