We have been in Nice for a day and a half. We arrived yesterday afternoon and took a taxi from the airport.  We were met promptly by a very professional and informative representative from the company handling our holiday apartment rental. I highly recommend them, they are called Nice Pebbles.

We are staying in what is known as the Musiciens quarter, which features streets named after famous composers. It is in the part of Nice developed in the late 19th and early 20th century so is filled with wonderful Belle Epoque architecture.

Here is our building from the outside. Our apartment is right up on the top floor. There is an elevator but it is one of those charming old cage-type ones that was built into the the void in the stairwell. Mark doesn’t want to use it unnecessarily so he chooses to walk down the stairs.

The apartment has a very comfortable living room.

Bedroom one.

Bedroom two.

Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms.

A lovely bright, modern kitchen.

Also there is a spacious terrace. The weather has been lovely – sunny and warm without being too hot so it has been nice to sit out there.
