Day four was a little cloudy but it still didn’t rain.
We drove to the northern lakes and the town of Keswick.
Can you see the sheep on the hilltop?
Keswick lies on the shores of the spectacular Derwent Water.
In the afternoon we drove to the enigmatic Castlerigg Stone Circle.
It stands on a hill in the centre of the mountain range.
It was an amazing place and unlike Stonehenge you could get close to the stones and touch them. You can click on these pictures to read more about it.
We drove back to Bowness and had fish and chips from a famous shop called Vinegar Jones.
