Righto. Here I am in Nice. Tres fatigue. Apart from being an hour late the flight was fine and I got into Nice around 3pm.

The apartment’s pretty nice and is right in the centre of town.

The bedrooms overlook a central courtyard so I’m not expecting traffic noise.

A view across from the balcony. My building is much more moderne.

I made a trip to Casino, which is actually the name of a major supermarket chain, and bought necessary supplies – cereal, milk, wine, chocolate, taramasalata and blinis.

Then I went on a quick walk around Nice.

Here is Place Massena and an important fountain that I will tell you the name of later.

Here is the Mediterranean Sea. It was a fairly cloudy day, quite humid, so I can only imagine what this would all look like in glorious blazing sunshine.

A view looking east.

I walked all the way down the Promenade des Anglais to the famous belle epoque Hotel Negresco.

It was time for dinner so I had a nice three course meal at a local restaurant.

Then I came home, had a shower and am now ready for sleep!
