A busy day today.

At the Anne Frank house we skipped the queue with our tickets purchased online. We passed through the revolving bookcase into the secret annexe. The blackout curtains really give you an idea of how it must have been for the Frank and van Pels families for those two years. The house is empty of furniture but the most touching thing is the walls of Anne Frank’s bedroom plastered with pictures of matinee idols cut out of magazines. You couldn’t take photos inside.

At the Rijksmuseum we skipped the queue with our tickets purchased online. You couldn’t take photos inside.

At Coster Diamonds we saw how diamonds are cut and polished.

Coster Diamonds re-cut the Koh-i-Noor diamond from the British Royal Crown Jewels.

You could take photos!

At the Van Gogh Museum we skipped the queue with our tickets purchased online. You couldn’t take photos inside.

Dinner at a great Dutch restaurant called Bistro Bij Ons. We highly recommend it!
