We came back to London on the Eurostar on Friday afternoon. Friday morning I went shopping on Hausmann Boulevard (to buy another Lalique cat, so we now have a pair – this second one is of a cat sitting up) and there was a light dusting of snow on the ground – beautiful. Friday afternoon I went to the Wallace Collection here in London, which was superb.

Saturday morning we had a stroll through Kensington Gardens – it was glorious day with blue sky and sunshine (still only 1 or 2 degrees though!). In the afternoon Mark and I had our Civil Partnership Ceremony at the Old Marylebone Town Hall:

We had 8 guests, which is pretty good considering we don’t have any close friends or relatives in London! After the ceremony we went to the pub down the road – The Globe – and had drinks and lunch. It was a lovely day.

Today we took a cruise down the Thames to Greenwich:

Queens House and the Royal Naval College.

We stood at Zero Meridian up on the Royal Observatory, the divider of the Eastern and Western hemispheres.

Tomorrow is our last full day in London – Mark will be off to the archives and I will be doing a mad dash of sights I have yet to see. How quickly the time has passed!
